Abstract

In this paper the use of a visualization tool that helps researchers discover knowledge in databases is described. The paper presents the scientific and technological maps associated with bibliometric indicators. The maps are based on the concept of Self-Organizing Maps (SOM) which is a particularly robust form of unsupervised neural networks. Examples illustrating the visualization of information are included in the paper.
