Project of retrospective cataloguing in the Universidad Carlos III

The UCAR III Library, because of the circumstances of its creation and fast development, has had to face a retrospective cataloguing project. Using the services of Gabinete de Asesores Documentalistas, S. A., the process began with an initial preparatory phase that includes book's classification and indexatíon,.a prevíous statistícs and the writing of the proceeding handbook. Different processíng optíons were used. One of them was the capture of biblíographic records from Bibliofile and Bibliografia Española, obtaining very different results depending on the subject of the collection.
