Needs, interest and continuity of the studies relative to biographic information sources are justified. A documental pattern of these sources is made with the more representative exponents. A methodologic scheme is proposed to evaluate these compilations. Spanish production is briefly analyzed. All of the above is presented in an international scope. Finally, a selective reference material is added.
