Abstract

Concepts formulated by de Solla Price on «research fronts» are applied to the field of lnformation Sciences in Brazil. There are as many «research fronts» as research lines in the field. The main objective of the work is to identify the «research fronts» in the various subsectors of Bibliometrics in Brazil, comparing the results obtained with a general application of Price's model with those obtained with an application by research lines or subsectors.
