El Centro de Información Científica y Humanística (CICH) de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) ha contribuido desde su creación, hace veinte años, en el acopio, análisis y diseminación de información bibliográfica latinoamericana. Parte de esa contribución corresponde a las ciencias sociales y humanidades a través de las bases de datos BIBLAT, CLASE y MEXINV, que en conjunto agrupan cerca de 120.000 referencias. En este documento se describen esos productos de información y su disponibilidad al usuario, ya sea como índices impresos, bases de datos en línea y, más recientemente, en disco compacto. Se analiza asimismo la experiencia del CICH en la obtención y transferencia de esa información.
