Survey on the use of CD-ROM in medical libraries in Spain

The results of a survey about CD-ROM and its repercussion on the Health Sciences libraries are analyzed. The questionnaire was sent to 140 centers all over Spain, with 42 % of replies. The most outstanding results are the increase of interlibrary loan, the enlargement of the users number, the difficulties of access to the original documents and the lack of human resources. The CD-ROM don't exclude the «on-line» systems but both of them are complementary.
