Documentation centers and specialized libraries in Spain

In order to obtain a general view of information resources in Spain, some series of data included in the "Directory of Documentation Centers and Specialised Libraries" are analyased. Geographic distribution of authors in the different Autonomous Region1s related to the number of inhabitants, year of service, institutional dependence, subject specialisation, accesibility and human recources, are determined. Centers are claasified according to their bibliographic resources: number of books, periodicals, abstracts journals and other reference material, as well as the services they offer.
