The experience of cooperation in the consortium management of LibQUAL for the evaluation of the quality of the Network of Libraries of Catholic and Catholic-Oriented Universities (Red BUCOC by its acronym in Spanish) of Argentina is presented. The aim was to carry out a diagnosis of the libraries, using a standard methodology to survey and analyze users’ needs and thus design a strategic plan that improves and contributes quality to the network's services. The difficulties and benefits of the LibQUAL survey application are also presented. The results show that information control is the least valued dimension and that the affective value of the service is the best recognized one. It is concluded that what is most required by users today are spaces and services. Although the collection is not the most required service, it is the dimension where libraries must focus their analysis together with users to determine its development and access environment.
