Abstract

The processing of bibliographical references and appointments in scientific works is a complicated process for those researchers no specialist in Information Science. In this work we present some of the problems with which these researchers are confronted, such as the references organization and structure which are usually hand-made with no automatic support. To solve this problems and to make easy the researchers work, we propose a Referential Information System (RIS) that allows to systematize and to homogenize the management of the bibliographical references by means of the databases technology. This referential information system developed following a database design and taking like reference point the ISO 690 standard, allows the user to process its references and to obtain their citations as well as the overhaul of these last ones in generated documents.
