Abstract


The knowledge of query language is an essential tool for information retrieval. This article offers a formal grammar (including syntax and semantics) for this type of language. This grammar provides the systematic and conceptual leaming of query language, on the one hand, and the obtention of practical syntactical and semantic benefits related with information retrieval processes, on the other.
