Abstract

In this article a hypothesis is presented based on Sperber and Wilson Relevance Theory about how the human beings process information. In short, this hypothesis, that fulfills the necessary requirement of being respectful with the architecture of the mind designed by the Cognitive Science, suggests that the central processor of the mind is effective in the treatment of the information because it is guided toward the search of the relevance.
