After a short description of the regional information system LATINDEX, the results of the application of editorial quality criteria to the Spanish journals in Social Sciences and Humanities are given. The authors analyse, from the obtained data, the presence of Spanish journals in the LATINDEX Catalogue. Complementary assessment criteria to decide the permanence or not of journals in ISOC data base are explained, emphasizing the international diffusion aspects.
