Impact of the scientific production of Alcalá de Henares University

In this work we study the impact of scientific production from the University of Alcalá during two years. The impact is measured by means of the citations during 4 years to papers and books published by authors from the university. Results indicate that a small fraction of papers are highly cited while most of them are not cited at all. Papers published in journals indexed by citation index were most cited. In addition, the impact factor of journals that published the articles from Alcalá University was, in general, higher than the contribution (in citations) to such impact factor from those articles.
