This article analyzes the scientific production in Web of Science of Spanish universities in relation to the proposed Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN (N=51319). These goals aim to ensure the future of humanity on our planet. Such an ambitious proposal has generated around it a wide scientific production by universities. The analysis of the scientific contribution to these goals and, specifically, to the area of Education allows us to determine the impact of Spanish universities in this process, the viability of Clarivate Analytics’ InCites to discriminate between international and national production and the representation of production through a new type of graph: “Quipu Diagram”, which will allow us to identify overlaps in similar goals. In this way, it can be seen that the Spanish universities that lead the scientific production indicators also lead in their contribution to the SDGs.
