The Spanish odontological research in Science Citation Index databse: A scientometric study (1974-2006)

This paper inquiry about the Spanish research in Dentistry, Oral Surgery, and Medicine retrieved from the Science Citation Index database of Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) of Philadelphia during the period 1974-2006. Scientometrics indicators relative to longitudinal production, authors and institutional productivity and authors’ citation patterns are offered, which allowed a background of the internationalist production of this medical discipline in Spain.
